Hello! My name is Bonnie Ramsey.  I live in a small town in Mississippi and was born and raised in the same area. I have a wonderful husband named Daniel (Danny) and 2 grown daughters named Christye and Jenny. We have 4 grandchildren (3 girls and 1 boy).

In January 2006,  I  decided to start my own gift business. I  joined a company in which I paid them about $500 for the priviledge of making them money! Don't misunderstand, I don't regret it for a second! It is because of this that I came in contact with this business.

After I joined the wholesale company, I designed a website and began loading it with all of my gifts. Over a course of a year, I had aquired about 12 different suppliers, being able to offer approximately 10,000 gift items to my customers.

I started marketing the site, working most days about 16 hours a day. I surfed, listed, posted, pushed, submitted, promoted, even profiled my business. I even made it to the number one position in the major search engines, sometimes being listed several times on one page, depending on what you typed into the search box! I was excited about that achievement!

Still, not a lot was moving. Just an occasional order and certainly not enough to see anything but loss after the expenses were deducted. I needed something different!

In June, I received an email from one of the referral sites I was a member of letting me know that someone had written a review of my site. I signed in to read the review and it was a really nice one. The lady asked me to review hers in return, so, of course , out of courtesy, I did. I really liked the products she had and thought they would make an excellent addition to my gifts that I had to offer my customers. After all, what gift business doesn't have lots of scented candles?

So I wrote her a nice review and told her that her products would be an interesting addition to my gift items. She called me and we talked and the rest, as they say is history. Her name was Glynda Richard and I found that she would become not only my sponsor and trainer but also a very close and dear friend!

When I joined, I had no interest in building the business. I just wanted the products. After all, I already had a business. I didn't need another one. But before long, I realized that the business I had wasn't working! The internet was so saturated with the exact same products that I was simply another drop of sand on an extremely large beach!

In January of 2007, the gifts still weren't moving well. But I noticed that the candles were getting excellent response! So I started thinking that maybe since the response has been so good I should just set a couple of goals, try to work the business end of it and just see what happens.

I had been involved in many MLM businesses in the past 20 years and none of them worked, so my expectations were very low and so were the goals I set. I had aquired one Candle of the Month member from online ( another lady that paid the same company I did to make them money ) so I was a Gold Level Distributor with 1 member. I needed 1 more to make Ruby so I figured that was a safe goal for the first month. I only had 2 weeks left in January so I figured this would be enough of a challenge.

My yearly goal would be to get a total of 5 Candle of the Month Members to reach my Diamond Level. So the goals were set and I needed a plan of action. I printed out the goals I had made as well as the action plan I needed to reach them. I taped them to my desk so that I would have to look at them daily.

The next day, I started loading up the samples in my bag getting things ready to go when the lady who cleaned for my Mom came in and started sniffing the candles. I talked to her about the business and she said she would think about it but that she had a good friend she knew would be interested. Well, I had made a contact before leaving home!

From where I was, it was 3 miles into town so I drove in and made a few more contacts, sold a few candles and was feeling pretty good about it. Over the next few days, I worked more on my site and made some follow up calls ( including the friend that was referred that morning).

Off the contacts I made in that day alone, I went on to sponsor NOT ONE, but 3 more dealers! So now, I had jumped past my monthly goal of Ruby and was just ONE away from my yearly goal of Diamond! Now, I was really excited and realized I had to upgrade my goals!

By the way, I really have to mention that the friend that was referred to me not only became a dealer but also gathered a $418 order on her first day out with her candles! Then on the second day she got another $100 order! She then sponsored the lady that sent me to her! I really preferred it that way so that she was working with her friend and she had been nice enough to send her to me! That has worked out well!

Today, I have achieved my goals and I am constantly setting new ones! But the best thing that has come from all of it is the feeling you can only receive from helping others achieve their goals! This has been a wild and crazy ride and I have loved every minute of it! I have since dropped all of my gift suppliers and have created this website for my candle business. I also have an informational page at www.bonnieramsey.com  that allows visitors to receive all the information on this business and our products through their email as well as request a sample information packet.

I am totally devoted to this business and I will never have to feel like I have to work again! This is too much fun to call it work!

I appreciate you taking the time to get to know me and to read my story about how I have gotten to where I am today! I look forward to having you as a business partner!
